We offer a range of workshops, tailored to the specific needs and aims of each group. Sessions include...
- MAKING THEATRE // A practical, fun and interrogative workshop looking at the very first steps of putting on your own work - covering everything from audience-snacking-etiquette to representation. This is the Itch + Scratch way - looking at the work and world we see around us and cultivating a plan for a better theatre by putting the audience first. Expect heated discussions and a bit of dancing.
- WRITING FOR ACTORS // Looking at writing plays from the perspective of a performer - whether it be writing for yourself, others, full length or a short piece. Whether you're an experienced writer or have never set pen on paper, you'll come away ready to get scripting.
- AUDITION CONFIDENTLY // With this workshop we aim to dispel myths, raise confidence and hopefully find audition enlightenment. We're a group of actors who also regularly audition actors for projects we cast and produce. This perspective has allowed us to return to our acting careers with a boost in confidence and wisdom that we want to share with you. Auditions don't have to be scary.
All our facilitators have a wealth of experience leading workshops, directing shows and teaching theatre courses with companies including The National Youth Theatre, Tricycle Theatre, Theatre Royal Plymouth and Theatre Peckham. All staff have a full DBS.
